DrivingElectric is one of over 80 chapters of the Electric Auto Association. If you want to make a tax-deducible contribution in any amount to our effort, you can do so with a credit card directly at our Secure Online Donation Form.

 

Join Us

We're looking for part-time or full-time volunteers to join our team. When we launched in September 2012, we had some paid staff and some volunteers. For the coming months, we'll be devoting available funds to technology.

Can you help manage the project, supervise technical development, develop partnerships, promote and market DrivingElectric as a "utility" for the EV industry, curate content, and track when contacts between the EV-curious and EV drivers lead to new EV purchases?

Graphic Designer

We are seeking a volunteer graphic designer to help us look our best.

The Graphic Designer will do small projects using Illustrator or Photoshop and page layout software for our website and print collateral.

Community Manager/Evangelist

We are seeking a part-time volunteer Community Manager to engage today’s plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) driver community both online and in person.

The Community Manager will:

  • work with our development team to make sure the online community appeals to and engages PEV drivers
  • recruit and supervise pre-launch PEV drivers to test and fine-tune the site
  • identify existing resources and develop toolkits to help PEV owners act as public ambassadors
  • curate the emerging driver profiles to identify interesting stories for multiple uses
  • help us meet an ambitious launch date of mid September

Qualifications:

  • a high-voltage connector with excellent interpersonal skills, able to quickly build meaningful relationships with community members and strategic partners
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • experience with plug-in electric vehicles or green transportation preferred
  • a background building thriving online communities preferred
  • community organizing experience preferred
